Science-led, scalable solutions for global and local climate challenges

As the R&D subsidiary of Pure DC, we focus on three interconnected challenges:

Advancing climate adaption and resilience
Our nature-based approaches support communities in adapting to the realities of climate change.

Decarbonising digital infrastructure
We create decarbonisation solutions that help our digital infrastructure achieve net zero.

Producing high-quality carbon removal credits
Our removal projects use biochar to permanently remove carbon from atmosphere.
We bring to life profitable environmental projects through science, systems thinking and practical delivery with biochar production, carbon removal, nature-based urban regeneration, and climate-resilient forestry.
Our team includes experts in plant science, engineering, and environmental management, all committed to delivering localised solutions with measurable climate, community and commercial impact through investable long-term projects.

How we’re helping to create a healthier earth
Technical capability for real-world deployment
We bring together deep scientific and engineering expertise - from in house plant scientists and deep process chemical engineers, to technical experts in the decarbonisation of digital infrastructure and nature-based solutions. This breadth of knowledge allows us to tackle challenges from multiple angles. Whether it’s optimising biochar through precision pyrolysis or advancing innovations in forestry practices, we help partners, planners and developers deliver scalable, high-impact solutions to their most complex challenges.
Our work is grounded in the insights of our Scientific Advisory Council - a global network of leading experts who apply cutting-edge science to help us design geo-specific climate solutions with real-world impact.

Current projects

The UK’s largest biochar production facility, creating high quality biochar out of waste feedstock and generating high integrity carbon credits.
Supporting urban regeneration through the creation of three ‘Tiny Forests’ in Barnet, North London, using trees from our ForestFactory®
We’re working with partners in West Papua to test how biochar can revive degraded land for rice farming and reduce pressure on forests.
